Last Updated: April 17, 2026
At Unified Arts Calendar ("Unified Arts," "we," "us," or "our"), your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website, utilize our network of regional calendars, or interact with our services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us, as well as data automatically collected through your use of the Services.
- Personal Account Information: When you register as a Member, Contributor, Advertiser, or Regional Director, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted password. If you register via Google OAuth, we receive your name and email address from Google.
- Profile and Content Data: Any events, venues, sponsor details, descriptions, or imagery you submit to the platform.
- Financial Information: If you purchase a subscription or advertisement, your payment details are processed directly by our secure third-party payment processor (Square). We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
- Geolocation Data: With your explicit consent, we may collect your device's physical location to automatically detect and suggest the nearest regional calendar.
- Usage Data: We utilize Google Analytics to collect standard browsing data, such as page views, event clicks, and browser types, to help us improve the platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Unified Arts platform.
- To route inquiries, event submissions, and applications to the appropriate local Regional Directors.
- To process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and receipts.
- To send administrative emails, such as password resets, event approval alerts, and policy updates.
- To protect against fraudulent or unauthorized activity (e.g., utilizing Google reCAPTCHA v3 on our public forms).
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following situations:
- With Regional Directors: Because our platform is a decentralized network, information related to your event submissions, advertising requests, or contact inquiries is shared with the local administrators of the regions you select.
- With Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing (Square), email delivery (SMTP providers), and analytics (Google).
- For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Services and hold certain information. This includes session cookies to keep you logged in and third-party cookies from Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies, but doing so may limit your ability to use certain parts of our Services.
5. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable.
